We're Off To Langkawi for CNY !!!!

The time has come again for us Malaysians to clog the hiways and biways. It's CNY and 50% of the 4 day holidays will be spent on our beautiful tolled roads !!! We shall witness that Ops Sikap will be more like Ooops!! Silap... nobody will give a toss about the road rules, road rage will be a new form of sport and as soon as you reach your destination, you'll be sooo tired that everything seems like a waste of time.... but then again anywhere is walking distance, if you've got the time.
Myra is in Standard 1 this year so we have to be part of the exodus of people who HAVE to go on holiday during school breaks.. the most frustrating time consuming, expensive and crowded time of the year. Cest la Vie...
As they say ... The journey of a thousand miles begins with a broken fan belt and a leaky tyre. Pray for us that we would have a great time and not be treated like a retired American red-neck holidaying in Baghdad..... the worst thing about being a tourist is having other tourists recognize you as a tourist

Arab Brotherhood ..... oxymoron !!

I may be a bit radical in my opinions but with the brutality that we have seen for the past weeks, my question is where are the Arabs?? The All Talk No Action People of the Middle East!!! The people who've got all their priorities mixed up... even genetically its all mixed up... they've got balls the size of brains and brains the size of balls!!!

Let's not talk about the Jewish and Palestinians issue... it has been going on for far too long... generations have died, Vendetta is there for generations to come and for them to suddenly put down their weapons, shake bloody hands, hug one another and have no animosity is close to impossible... it's like asking two people to swap a Bentley GT and a Proton Juara .... a possibility but most unlikely....

What is weird is that we have groups of very angry muslims in Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan and other Muslim nations, we are trying our best to tell the western world of our stance in this matter but the fact is the bordering neighbours of the war torn country are doing absolutely nothing??? And let me remind you that they are fighting a war of 'border' issues... not religion. Most of the world think this is a religious war.... Dumbass!!!
It doesn't help that Palestine is split to 3 areas within Israel (see map) .... how the f@&< did this happen in the first place??

If Brunei is being attacked by Malaysia for whatever reason... who should be first to help??? Phillipines? Indonesia?? China??? You'd think... Not Bloody Syria, Algeria, Cameroon....If you're fighting with your neighbour (Both living in Damansara).... who should be helping out to solve the issue??? Persatuan Penduduk Lahad Datu Sabah????

Why are we pressuring USA and UK, France for help first... WHERE ARE THE ARAB BROTHERS??? Until they learn to help one another, they will always be provoked disturbed raped and analized by the enemies of the region... or until the oil runs out... whichever comes first..

I say we should pressure the Arab nations to stand together to support their brothers... Shame on Them!! Egypt refuse the Palestinian refugee entry, Saudi Arabia is not taking a stance !!! I've actually included 'Arab Brotherhood' into my list of Oxymoron Words of the world!!

You actually think US and UK give a flying toss to what we think? Yes we are respected by the global community but are we respected enough to stop the war? Gimme a break...

Is it time to bring out the fireworks and non-alcoholic carbonated drink again?

How time flies! It's already the end of the year.

OMG!

The year was a great one and I hope next year would be even better.

What I will miss the most would be the way we’d planned our holidays spontaneously. Next year onwards, holiday trips must be carefully planned around the school breaks. Cheeky bom bom is entering standard one next year! Sob sob. She’s no longer my little baby but a young lady. Okay, lets not go there lest the waterworks starts!

What I will definitely not miss will be the façade (both inner and outer) of our house. Come next year, once the renovation works end, I will finally get my dream house (well half way there at least). I can’t wait to start decorating!!!

On that note, I wish all of you a blast happy new year 2009!

Bila kucing tiada, tikus pun menari!

This week I’ve just discovered that 2 of my bestest friends’ hubbies are having affairs.

I just feel awful about knowing this - on one level it is none of my business, but on the other I think I would be a shitty friend if I didn't let them know something like that.

They probably have no clue about the affairs and they are such nice people whom do not deserve heart-break.

My instinct says – butt out! It is none of my business, and I don’t want to risk our friendships by being the bearer of bad news.

But having said that, if the roles are reversed, I would expect my friends to at least warn me.

Would YOU want to be told if your spouse was cheating?

What should I do?

Right now I’m telling myself that these are all just second hand news and since I did not witnessed the affairs first hand, I've got no cause to pass it on. Lame excuse, I know!

Today is thursday and its 4.19pm, another 41 mins to go back!

Today I’m going to devote myself to write something meaningless because I’m bored... so sue me!!!

I’ve just moved office location to one of the coldest environment ever, it's like a walk-in chiller!!. It's quite embarrassing as everyones tits are on permanent hardness. I could blind some poor soul if I'm not careful !! And when you switch on the aircond, it sounds like we’re on an Fokker Turboprop about to take off. I can barely hear myself on the phone. With pointy nips everywhere you look, sounds blaring, faulty flourescent lights blinking, just add a few dancing poles and its just like Patpong!! Thank god this is only temporary until our new convention centre is ready next year.

So what’s new with me?

Well, my baby plan is in action! It’s been 2 months and I have yet to see any result. We’ve done it at all possible times, ways, styles and locations that by now we have even managed to dethrone our bunnies in the humping sessions. So I don’t know what else we can do? Nak kata tak main, main! Dah main pagi, petang, siang malam tapi still no positive sign! Frankly I’m quite fed-up and feel like giving up. But I really pity cheeky bom bom coz she really wants another sibling to bully. I shouldn’t have left out the baby making plan too long. Sekarang umur dah meningkat, bio clock ticking... so siapa yang rugi? Akak jugak!!! Shish.. If by end of the year, if nothing jugak, i'm gonna set appointment to see the ole good Prof Dato' Hamid our own dedicated Pussy Doctor!!

p/s btw, I was told of an ancient ritual where a lady must steal kain 'batik' from another lady whose had many kids and then batheor **** with the sarong. Coincidently, I’ve just hooked up with a long lost friend on FB who has 7 children. Should I start making plan to rob hers?

We are also in negotiation with a contractor to renovate the house. We have decided to stay put in that tempat jin bertendang. Instead, we are going to add more rooms to the current house. Anak baru sorang tapi the house plan macam nak muatkan anak 10 orang *eyes rolling*.

Cheeky bom bom was 1st in her graduating kindy class. Even though there were only 20 rivalries in her class but still!!! Her mama and her papa tak pernah merasa dapat nombor satu hokay! So syukurlah dapat anak rajin belajar gitu!

That reminds me of a funny incident prior to her report card day…

Cheeky bom bom: Mama, is getting 3rd place bad?

Me: No but it will be nice if you can maintain your current position at no. 2.

Cheeky bom bom: Can I still get a prize if I got 3rd place?

Me: What do you want?

Cheeky bom bom: Well, for 3rd place, I would like to have a game (psp).

Me: If 1st or 2nd?

Cheeky bom bom: I would like a Kelly doll for 2nd place. And if 1st place, I would like a colouring book!

I was laughing my socks off at her cunning response. That was how confident she was in getting 3rd place. You see she knew her math score would pulled her grades down as she had yet to master reading the clock.

So now she is still pestering me to get her the game instead of the colouring book. I shall let her sweat for awhile longer *grinning devilishly*

Obama is 44th President of the USA

After a long and predictable campaign, A Kenyan beat a Scottish to be the President of America??? What??.. Yup, Barrack Obama, is the new President of USA, the first African American President who pulverized John McCain into the Oval Office (Does he have short arms or is he a descendent of T-Rex maybe its just me seeing things?? Thank God it was not decided in a boxing rink...) . So what is different about this handsome black man compared to the normal American President?
He is half Kenyan half Hawaiian i.e. marathon world class runner in grass skirt.., brought up in Hawaii, Indonesia and mainland USA, step father is Indonesian, calls his grandma Toot! (maybe she had a problem with flatulence..) Sister is half Indonesian half American i.e. Javacan, bro in-law .... get this.. Malaysian!! The only Malaysian that can say 'abang gua American President-lah!!
The question now is:
1. Will the White House be called Black House or Funky Soul House??
2. Will all the chairs be covered with see-thru plastic like all the homes in the projects of Chicago?
2. Will he be a fair President for the Palestinian cause as he keeps saying 'America's strongest ally is Israel'
3. What will his foreign policy be?

What is ironic is that the most powerful men in the world is
Obama Biden
and the most wanted man in the world is
Osama Laden

Hong Kong Living

Pinay Heaven!!
HKG version of Times Square

Pigeon Holes

If you think living like ants is fun.... you are meant to live in Hong Kong. If you think living in the coral reefs is cool... then you are meant to live in Hong Kong but if you cherish your personal space, your weekend drive, your quick trip to the beach or waterfall, your pasar tani, your quiet day in the suburbs..... Hong Kong is NOT a place for you.

Hong Kong Island is only inhabited on one side of the rock... the Kowloon facing side. From the bay side the terrain goes upwards towards the Peak and down to the opposite side. So if you live in Hong Kong Island one will know your status by how far is your unit from the nearest tram. The closer it is the poorer you become. The higher up the mountain the higher your social standing is. The 'Creme de la creme' actually lives in bungalows above the Peak overlooking Kowloon!!

At night the place reminds me of the movie BladeRunner or the futuristic cities in Star Wars, like the reef culture in Shark Tale, but it actually quite safe.

During weekends the place is full of Filipino and Indonesian maids that gets the day off... they congregate by the thousands in the business district picnicking under every available shade... it's soooo amazing. Imagine hundreds of high end condos with hundreds of units each will have a maid each. Give them a day off on the same day.... all hell breaks loose... everyone speaks Tagalog at full crank and at the same time!!! Just like the Jamaicans on Sunday mornings at Brixton London, the Punjabi's in Southall, London and Orthodox Jewish with their black cloaks and pigtails down their cheeks in Golders Green. I still remember flying into Heathrow on Christmas day and finding everyone from the cleaners, security guards, immigration and customs to cab drivers are either with a turban or Indian looking???? I kept checking on my ticket stubs if i had mistakenly landed in Amritsar or somewhere similar. Kept thinking to myself..."Is this Klang ka??"

Who says Hong Kong is a shopping haven???? You can kiss my @$$ !! It was 30 years ago lah!! So bloody expensive!!

Hong Kong.... been there, done it... no thank you....

Snowy is a Mom!!

No sooner that we thought that Snowy, our Flemish Giant Mix will never bear litter.... guess what ?? She did!!! Early Sunday morning we noticed a baby on the floor of the Duplex Hutch. So we moved him into the cage in the kitchen and fast tracked Coco's family move into the hutch. About noon, she gave birth to 3 more little Snowies. Unfortunately the biggest one was still-born. We noticed that she was not as natural as Coco into motherhood. Maybe she was too big for the cage ... who knows.. she didn't pull off her hair surrounding her teats, she was always fat or should I say she was too heavy for her height, so nobody actually noticed she was pregnant.

Anyway apart from the 2 Albino catfish, 13 Pink Talapia, 5 Sungai Pahang Baung, 1 huge DBKL in the pond, about 8 squirrels living in the porch ceiling and the Cherry tree, scores of kucing kuraps, we now have Tango, Ruby, Coco, Brownie, Chuping, Cookie, Snowy and 3 nameless little baby bunnies!!! That's 10 bunnies!!!! We need to give a way some.... especially one of the males!! They don't seem to know when to give up !! Sniffing away like a sex crazed errrr..... bunny with supercharged Duracell.

When they say $^&#! like bunnies, this is what it means huh!!

Nexus Karambunai - Heaven!

Anyway, my trip to KK started off with a few relaxing days stay in the tranquil Nexus Resort Karambunai which was definitely not enough. I must recommend to others to stay at least a week here to really enjoy the place coz there are just so many things to do. 1 day for each hotel star rating and 1 day for the journey…

The ambience, the look and the sound of Nexus Golf Resort Karambunai can put you in a permanent holiday mood as permanent as my stretch marks!!. There are enough natural looking pools to fit hundreds of guests at one time and plenty of sun beds between the pool and the beach without you having to arm wrestle or waking up at 5.30 am to ‘reserve’ one ahead of the German Hospice Group!!

I especially love the fact that when I stood at the pool area looking over at the beach, I can see left and right, people being massaged, people on horses, people enjoying snacks by the ice cream cart, people sun bathing here and there, some beach games being played, some people playing board games etc.

When one has been brought up watching Fantasy Island, one would have a preconceived idea about how a resort should be like! And this is definitely it!

For their little guests, they even thoughtfully added a half shade across the kiddy pool so that the kids can spend all day in the pool without the worry of sunstroke and there’s even a Nexie Club with activities to occupy the kids giving time off to the parents to do their own stuff…quickie and all heheheee.

However, to stay here without a car, one needs to be prepared to eat and live in the resort. It’s about 40 minutes away from the airport and the nearest place to eat is probably 1 ½ hours away on foot!

The only thing that I wished they had is a Karaoke outlet and my daughter wished for a playground! Apart from that, its picture purrrfect!

Pictures can tell a thousand words! So go get yer Kleenex and drooool …

Holidaying is one of the ways to reduce stress!

What better way but to start with stories about my much needed holiday voyage to the land beneath the wind and to the land of hornbills. The famous ‘No Confidence Vote’ state of Sabah and Sarawak, by far the largest under-developed state by land mass in Malaysia!!

The Flight
LCCT – Kuching – Kota Kinabalu
Why Kuching stopover???...... don’t ask….

*intermission*
Did you know that one of the criteria to be an Air Asia stewardess is “to have inexhaustible smile”??!! Ironically, I did not even see a smirk on any of the stewardesses faces on my recent flights!! Apart from a slight twitch from their upper lip towards the “X-press” check-in passengers i.e. people who insisted to pay extra money to be seated First way before mothers with infants, wheelchair bound and fossil aged passengers!!! It’s a bit ironic that one would choose a No Frills airline with the same seating configuration, same class for all or fairness like the ‘Round Table of Camelot’ yet ‘Pay Extra’ to get positive discrimination…. Duhh!! Lack of smiles? Maybe it’s because the girls were forced into those uncomfortable tight, short red skirts that seems to show their very distinctive ‘Grandma styled panty lines’….Air Asia…. Now everybody can squirm!!! Good value? 10 sen flight YES RM8 Nasi Lemak NO!!
*end of intermission*

Sabah-bah!!

Incidentally, the last time I was in Sabah, it was for my birth!! Yes, that’s right! I was born here! I can still remember the first faint words I heard …..Push!!!Push!!! Sikit laaagi… It’s a girl….. with attitude-lah!!! God sent me to a land of natural beauty and tranquility and where did I end up??? In KL!!! Peergh!! Everyone here ends their sentences with a Bah! Imagine if every state speaks the same insane way…. Rak for Perak, Tan for Kelantan, Dah for Kedah. Worst would be Johor with Hor which sounds like a swearing New York pimp on crack!!

To be continued...

Sometimes less is more...

After a long soul searching, I’ve decided that my blog should be somewhere I can impart some kind of knowledge to the readers rather than a meaningless story about my life which of no concern to anyone but me…. It may be exciting, refreshing, witty, and full of love, inspiring, cynical and sarcastic but to others meaningless nevertheless…

I thought I was gonna take a break from blogging but this is important!

No, we are not going to hike the price for fuel anytime soon, most likely in August.

Then next day, all hell broke loose when people scrambled to fill up their tank because of the price hike!

~ - ~

No, the election is not going to be soon.

Then next day, parliament was dissolved to make way for election campaign!

~-~

No, I’m not getting married.

Then next day, please meet Malaysia’s new 1st lady!

~-~

No, Thais and Singaporean are banned from buying Msian petrol.

Then next 2 days, the ban was lifted off!

~-~

Will there be an end to this saga of hypocrisy?

On second thought...

Perhaps I was not clear enough?

Its not forever you know but just during these busy period of mine.

The other truth is that I thought this blog of mine has becoming quite boring and predictable. Out of fear on becoming another notch in the statistic details of bimbos blog without any substance, I've decided to start another journey of self-discovery that should help me write something more concrete and refreshing!

Be seeing you, perhaps in a month's time?

Due to time constraint, this blog will be closed indefinitely!

Thanks to all , you have been a great audience!

Debutante!

“Mama I want to poo poo” Cheeky bom bom whispered to me few minutes before she was due to present the flower bouquet to the DYMM Sultanah Perak, Tuanku Bainun.

Aisehman!!!

Racking my brain, I remembered from a distant memory of someone telling me an ancient Malay Archipelago mantra she would recite whenever she wants to control her urge to crap.

Desperately I whispered to cheeky bom bom to recite in her heart these words…

‘Kepala ke bawah bontot ke atas!"
Over and over again… *Snigger*

I didn’t know whether it actually worked or just a coincidence but at least my daughter was no longer grimacing in pain, clutching her tummy…whatever works right? Maybe it was just nervousness, what she described as pain was really ‘Butterflies in the Tummy’.

Anyway Mother’s Day celebration organized by mom was perfecto! The entourage of Royal Perak sisters came in full force accompanying their mummy dearest and their ‘just out of confinement’ sister in-law, Tuanku Zara, all looking drop dead gorgeous!

Cheeky bom bom had a whale of time from her exposure to her first adult party even dancing poco-poco with the royalties and making new friends along the way.

Then the next day, old friends got together to celebrate the birth of a new born, ‘A.Zara’. Apparently ‘Zara’ seems to be a popular name these days.

I had even joked with the ‘mama’ about giving birth early and the mother brushed off the comment confidently saying that in the past all her children popped out later than the due date. Imagine our surprise when eager little A. Zara made her entrance the very next day after I commented, 10 days earlier than expected!

Tu lah Ally McBeal, kan aku dah cakap… aku ni ada Daulat Bangsawan Bugis Nusantara! *smirking*

Now I wonder if the mantra can be introduced in the Yoga class as part of self cleansing?

“Ommm Kepala ke bawah bontot ke atas…. Kepala ke bawah bontot ke atas… Kepala ke bawah bontot ke atas….. Kepala ke bawah bontot ke atas…… Kepala ke bawah bontot ke atas……
